Real people hold real roles here.

We started in 2016 as a choir at RCCG Righteous Gate Parish, Idu Uruan — a group of people in Akwa Ibom who simply wanted to worship God. But rehearsals kept turning into something other than rehearsal. We would come to practise and end up in His presence, and after a while it was clear this was not a singing group. It was a calling.

We took the name Zion because Zion is the dwelling place of God. It says what we are: a company of believers giving Him every sound and every lyric we have.

The Halleluyah Experience came out of that. The first one was at Righteous Gate, with limited resources and equipment that fought us all night. None of it mattered. The anointing was tangible, lives were changed, and we learned early that true worship does not depend on sound systems or stage lights.

We have grown since — in number, but more in maturity and unity. We do not measure any of it in awards. The only achievement that lasts is a soul won for Christ, and that is still the whole point.

Once a year

The Halleluyah Experience Planning Committee

Once a year, the Planning Committee convenes and draws members from every department. It exists for one night, disbands after it, and reconvenes the following year. It is how a ministry of this size stages something this large.

Committee membership is drawn from all eight departments listed above.
